Why your logo loses you business

When you started your business you probably went through a lot of trouble designing a pretty logo to put on the top of everything your business sends out. But what if I told you that it might be costing you sales?

Now I have no problem with pretty logos... it's just where you place them on your marketing. If you go to the Yellow Pages right now you'll find 90% of the ads there have their logo at the top. Some people like to call this branding.

But when your prospect first sees your ad they don't care about your logo, your branding, or your business. They care about what you can do for them... how you can solve their problems and fulfill their needs.

So what should go at the top of your ads and marketing?

A headline that offers your prospects something they want or need.

People are trained to read headlines. That's why newspapers and magazines use them. They let readers know at a glance whether the story is interesting to them. The same is true with your marketing.

You want to grab your prospects attention and get them to read your marketing. That's all your headline has to do... get them to interested so they find out what you're offering.

So the next time you think about sending out some marketing or creating an ad... try a headline. You'll be amazed at the results.
