Hi,
My name is Craig and for the past 2 years I've been taking regular, everyday business websites and turning them into Automatic Selling Machines. They simply work for you - day in and day out - without you lifting a finger.
Because a website is a salesperson that sits on the internet - doing its job - 24/7. It doesn't need motivation or commissions, isn't hurt by rejection and doesn't complain about visiting a potential client in their house at 4am in the morning. It simply goes about its job... which is selling your products and services.
A website is a marketing system that attracts prospects, presents an irresistible offer to them and follows up until the prospect becomes a client or says no. And it does it for a small fraction of the cost that a real live salesperson would cost... yet covers the whole country or even the world.
And it doesn't matter what you're selling. Whether it's straight from the website or needs prospects to get in touch with you. Your website still has the same role.
But there is one major problem with most websites... they're horrible at selling!
Unfortunately, most websites fail to reach their potential for one reason:
Most websites are created by web designers.
Now most web designers are lovely people but it's easy to overestimate the abilities of these web gurus. Sure, they can come up with beautiful and elegant web designs to represent your business - because that's their job - to create pretty websites. They are - first and foremost - designers.
You wouldn't call an architect or builder to sell your house. You'd call a real estate agent, someone who specialises in selling houses. So why call a web designer when you want to sell your products and services on the internet?
There is no part of their job description that implies they know anything about selling. This can be confusing because many now offer web marketing services but this usually just means "getting people to your website." It doesn't mention anything about selling to visitors when they arrive.
Now - thanks to the explosive growth of the internet - nearly every business has a website. But all those business experts that told you that you "Gotta have a website!" forgot to ask a simple question:
Now this answer will vary from business to business, but there are generally two aims of a website:
All websites should at least collect leads, no matter if you're selling through the website or not. Every visitor that comes to your website is a potential sale and should be treated as a hot prospect. You wouldn't ignore a prospect that walked into your business so why should you ignore one on your website?
Having a contact us page is obviously necessary for every website. However it shouldn't be confused with a Lead Collection System. Allow me to explain by a simple analogy.
You're in a store, the customer service rep walks up to you and asks "Can I help you?" and 9 times out of 10 your default response is... "No thanks, just looking."
Guess what? It's even easier for visitors to a website to be just looking. But that doesn't mean they're not interested in what you're selling. They just don't want to make a commitment yet... even if that commitment is just talking to someone.
However, they might pick up some information on the way out like a brochure or catalogue. And what your Lead Collection System does is grab the contact details for those people. Allowing you to follow up and provide other useful information until they're ready to make a purchase decision.
This information is also a fabulous opportunity to show them why they should deal with you instead of your competitor down the street. Because on the internet... your competitor is just a click away.
It's increasingly common for websites to now have an e-newsletter. Your business might even have one offered on your website. But there is one fatal flaw here that you can instantly fix to increase the number of subscribers you get.
Are you ready for the big secret? ... Stop calling it a "newsletter."
A "newsletter" is literally saying "Sign up to receive news about my business."
Guess what? Website visitors don't want to hear about your business. They want to hear about things that are useful to them. Namely, how you are going to solve their problems?
Simply changing the text to something like "Sign up to receive our free report: 7 Secrets to Suntan Success" (for a tanning salon) will increase your opt-in rate instantly. Of course you'll then want to back up what you promised with good, solid information and build a relationship with your prospect.
Once you've determined what you want your website to do, you need to get the visitor to take action. This is where there is a vast difference between a good website and a great website.
While there are a wide range of skilled (and unskilled) web designers out there, the prettiness of your website is nowhere near as important as what your website says to your visitor. There is a timeless rule on the internet that states:
"Copy is king!"
Copy - in case you are unfamiliar - just means writing... as in copywriting which is basically the fancy term for sales writing. The important point is what's written on your website will make the difference between a visitor taking action or leaving.
You have precious few seconds to get a visitor's attention and draw them into your website before you lose them forever. Think about yourself when you use the internet. Do you stop and read every website or do you flick from page to page looking for what interests you? There's a reason we call it web browsing... not web reading.
Let's say your website is getting 100 visitors a day. Right now, it's selling 1 of those visitors a $30 product (known as a 1% conversion rate - selling 1 visitors out of 100) and making you $10,950 in sales per year (and honestly most websites aren't even doing this at the moment).
If we manage to increase your website's performance just a teensy bit... so 2 people buy a day (or 2% conversion) then you're looking at $21,900 in sales (you just doubled them). And this is just by making the writing on your website more appealing to visitors.
We're not even talking about the Lead Capture System that allows you to follow up with interested prospects and build a long-term relationship. There are so many small, incremental improvements you can make that give big results fast.
Also, something I love about websites is their non-stop sales potential. Once you get a website that works you can sit back and let it do its job. Every now and then you can make another small improvement and watch your sales increase. It's like having an ATM for your business except it's an Automated Selling Machine.
So how did we achieve a 266% sales increase in 12 months? There were 4 main steps or turning points that gave us the sales increases:
Admittedly, we had a lot of slack time between these steps and the results could have been achieved a lot faster but a 266% increase wasn't bad under the circumstances. At least the clients were ecstatic.
It's also important to note that none of the sales increase was due to increased website traffic that we created. We didn't focus on the search engines or paid advertising. We just focused on getting the website right. Now it's performing its job automatically we can add more traffic and watch our sales climb even higher. And that's when it gets really exciting!
Obviously I'm telling you all this for a reason. I want you to become my client.
In this letter I've explained why your website should be a valuable marketing tool for your business. I've laid out step-by-step how to achieve the best results. I've also taken you through the results from one of my early clients using this process.
You get 3 years of my experience using this process to make websites better and honing my sales writing skills. Not to mention 12 years since I started doing web design for clients and developing my abilities in various internet fields too numerous to mention.
I believe you're still reading because this sounds very interesting to you and your business.

"Craig does not ‘hide' his techniques and talent
but instead shares his knowledge so you can

"We have reduced our marketing budget by 40% whilst our conversions have gone up year on year by about 60%. We used to have immense competition in Madrid and now we have very little competition in our market here. We do believe that this is because Craig has helped us to tap into our target market so effectively. Time and time again we hear how we were chosen because we stand out from the crowd - not an easy task in a very crowded market place.
Craig has saved us time and money and has ensured our businesses survival through one of the worst global recessions to date. He was very aware of the time we had available to spend on these tasks (very little!) and therefore made sure that each project was worthwhile and had an excellent time v return ratio.
We cannot recommend Craig's services highly enough. We believe that the success we have had and our continued success is in no small part to having Craig support our marketing initiatives."

"He has an insatiable thirst for learning and is always at the cutting edge of marketing trends. And I should know, as I often speak at internet marketing conferences and fly around the world to take part in millionaire mastermind groups that consist of some of the world's leading marketing experts.
If your business has an opportunity to take advantage of Craig's marketing brain or copywriting skills, I suggest you don't think twice about it. He's been a pleasure to work side-by-side with, and I fully endorse his work."
Dean Hunt World Leading Buzz Marketer and Online Attention Seeker
"In the end, both my business partner and I ended up putting our complete faith in Craig, ..."
"... leaving the project in his hands, as we built up a very strong trust in his work and methods. On a continuing basis for more than a year after he finished our website, Craig continued to implement our marketing programme, setting up a very good social marketing programme amongst many things, and saved us a lot of time and energy by taking those issues off our plate."
Mark Laurence, Director, MadridMAS
"Craig's experience and expertise in marketing
and the systems he has applied to our business
have increased our sales dramatically.""He is constantly adding value to our business whether it's a creative way to package our products or his sales writing skills. He also works well independently to sell our products which allows us time to focus our core skills of creating our fun and interesting English magazine and other English learning materials that are sold around the world. We're glad Craig was recommended to us and we highly recommend him to help you market your business as well."
